Good Morning to everyone. Every morning when I awake, I look out my window to the east to watch the sun rise. This morning I see a thick fog in the horizon.
I decide to make a mental note to type into the computer: www.weather.com
The weather report is as follows: The current temperature is 67 degrees, (feels like 67 degrees), Mostly cloudy, wind: From WSW at 3mph. Through 3:00pm decreasing clouds with temperatures increasing to upper 70’s.
Speaking of clouds, it reminds me of the animated movie , “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” that ranked number 1 for it’s first two weekends of opening.
AREAS OF FOG WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES IN SPOTS EARLY THIS MORNING…
AREAS OF FOG HAD FORMED OVERNIGHT DUE TO HIGH GROUND LEVEL MOISTURE AND LIGHT WINDS. AT 4:00 AM SOME OBSERVATION SITES REPORTED 1/4 MILE VISIBILITY… SUCH AS LEHIGH VALLEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
FOG WILL BE LOCALLY DENSE EARLY THIS MORNING. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO WATCH FOR SUDDENLY LOWERED VISIBILITIES. USE YOUR LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS… AND WATCH FOR PEDESTRIANS AND BICYCLISTS.
THE FOG IS EXPECTED TO IMPROVE A COUPLE OF HOURS AFTER SUNRISE… BY AROUND 9:00 AM.
By the time I am writing this , it is 0:900 a.m. and it has improved.
Just two short weeks ago, on a Monday morning, our house was without electric power from the effects of Hurricane Irene. That morning as I lie in bed in the darkness, I got up to look out the window at around 0:500 a.m. to look into the sky. Since it was pitch black outside, the sky was full of so many brilliant stars. The first thing that I became aware of was that I could see the formations of constellations of stars. Not that I knew anymore than “the Big Dipper” and the “Little Dipper”. I’m the kind of person to look for the positive in any given situation. I found my positive. This is so exciting!!!! , that I asked my husband whom I had just woke up a little too early to get up and look at the stars. That’s “Orion” , he said. If only there was a way to record all of these beautiful stars that I could see from my bedroom window. You see, the stars are always there; it’s just that with all of the streetlights the stars just aren’t visible here. Alas, I will try to etch in my memory the beautiful scene of those stars.
